With our weather warning system, winter kit, GPS tracking, 24/7 emergency service and direct communications, studded winter tires, extra power, and other safety features, Happy Campers is the safe choice for winter rentals.

We add two extra batteries (3 total) to the Happy 4×4 van to guarantee that you have enough juice to last you through the coldest nights, even when the solar panel is not charging due to bad weather or limited sunlight.

We line the interior of our vans with wool insulation for additional warmth during the harshest winter months.

Our campervans, equipped with the quality Webasto heater, are guaranteed to run all night if necessary. We go over how to best operate the heater during your check-in orientation, but you can be sure that our campers will keep you warm all night.

We equip all of our vans with studded winter tires when you are legally allowed to do so here in Iceland. This makes it safer and easier to navigate the Icelandic winter roads.

We put special focus and care into building our 4×4 vans and resources. Combined with our experience, this makes us know a thing or two about winter camping in Iceland.

As a part of our mission to provide the best winter #vanlife experience, we make sure that all of our vans are equipped with studded winter tires, a shovel, starter cables, and an ice-scraper. We also include an extended winter orientation at the office.
