Starting 25th February, the Icelandic government lifts all remaining Covid-19 restrictions domestically and on the border.
Travelers no longer need to quarantine, present proof of vaccination or negative test certifications upon arrival.
All COVID-19 measures at the Icelandic border have now ended. Therefore, no COVID-19 prevention measures will be in place at the border, regardless of whether individuals are vaccinated or unvaccinated. Please note that visa requirements have not changed.
Restrictions can be implemented again in the event of a new, more dangerous variant outbreak.
Many countries require a negative COVID-19 test. A PCR test is needed for some destinations, while for others, a rapid antigen test is sufficient.
If you need a negative test for your departure, there are a couple of places to get tested and receive the certificate.
Results for rapid tests are available in 15-45 minutes. You pay for your test as soon as you have booked your appointment.PCR test results can take up to 48 hours (longer when sampling is done in the countryside). The certificate validity period starts when the sampling is finished, not from the time it is sent via e-mail.
Travelers are recommended to schedule and get tested as far in advance as possible before your flight.
